Activity 2: Recreation of real magazine

The second activity of this project is to recreate an Empire magazine. Personally, I think the purpose of this task is to get students understand the composition of the real magazine, how hard or easy to create the magazine, which I think this activity helps me to get the ideas of how to layout the my magazine.

This is the original Empire magazine that I have been asked to recreate:


From looking at the original magazine, I thought to myself that it is going to be hard to make the background of this magazine because it is quite complicated and unrealistic, which this will makes this task challenge.  

 

And this is the one that I recreated:

I found out that is not actually that hard, even though I didn’t get the exact background, but I think I did quite well.

Here is my background.
 What I did is I used three images; the sky, the city and burned city, which I found them on Google, then I merged them together. After I got the right picture, I then change the colour to create a similar colour tone to the original magazine.


Overall I think I did well on this task as because I got everything in the right place and to complete the task within time set.
